By the end of grade 5:

8.2    “Identify common symptoms of illness and recognize that being responsible for individual health means alerting caretakers to any symptoms of illness.”      (See Eastern Equine Encephalitis and West Nile Virus)

8.3    Apply skills to prevent the spread of disease.  .
